Grooming tonic is similar to hair tonic but has an extra function. In addition to conditioning, it also provides light hold and control.
It is often used before blow-drying because it helps create volume and shape in your hair. Your hair gets more grip, making it easier to hold its style.
While hair tonic primarily prepares, grooming tonic already starts styling.
