Today, March 24, 2021, I registered with the Chamber of Commerce, and starting April 1, 2021, I can welcome you to my own Barbershop.
In 2015, I went to a barber for the first time. I went to Barberstation at the train station in Nijmegen. I was immediately sold; the atmosphere, the tough barbers in white coats. I felt completely at home there.
This perfectly matched my hospitality mentality. The creative side of hairdressing, combined with the social aspects, made me realize what I wanted to do.
That's why I started a barber course with Paul Kox in Breukelen. To further specialize, I followed the Barberstation training at Barberstation in Arnhem.
That summer, I started at Barberstation as a barber, and then I joined my cousin Marcel at Brooklyn Barber. He had also started with Paul Kox through me, and Brooklyn Barber quickly proved to be a great success. I also made a detour to Van de Hare Amsterdam Barbers. This barbershop was award-winning in 2015.
In 2018, I packed my scissors and clippers and moved to Vietnam. There, Tom & Guido had started a huge project. House of Barbaard is a gentlemen's house where everything I had learned up to that point came together. After about a year and a half, HOB had grown even more. In the meantime, I had moved from Saigon to the capital Hanoi and was allowed to take on the management there. Together with the team, we further expanded its recognition, and a clothing line was also added.
That last venture led me to Suitsupply. I returned to the Netherlands and started with this beautiful company. My love for Men's Fashion was confirmed here. Together with a fantastic team at the Schiphol location, we achieved great results, and I learned an incredible amount.
Now it's time for a new chapter. As you can read, I have gained some experience, and I am very enthusiastic to share it with you. I hope to see you soon in my Barbershop!
