What once started in his parents' shed has grown into the barbershop of Loenen aan de Vecht. Since 2015, Sjoerd has been captivated by the barbering profession. His first visit to Barberstation in Nijmegen felt like coming home: the atmosphere, the skilled professionals in white coats, and the passion for the craft made a deep impression. This was what he wanted to do.

Sjoerd started his training with Paul Kox in Breukelen and further specialized at Barberstation in Arnhem. He gained experience at top establishments such as Barberstation, Brooklyn Barber, and the award-winning Van de Hare Amsterdam Barbers. In 2018, he moved to Vietnam to work at House of Barbaard – a unique barbershop where classic grooming, fashion, and hospitality come together. There, he progressed to manager and helped build the brand further.

Back in the Netherlands, Sjoerd continued his passion at Suitsupply, where he combined his love for men's haircuts with men's fashion. But ultimately, the dream of his own barbershop beckoned. In 2021, he opened Kamm, where he combines his knowledge, craftsmanship, and hospitality in a shop where everyone feels welcome.
